Loom Room’s mohair throws are hand woven in New Zealand on traditional floor looms. They are sized to the full width of our looms (approximately 110cm) and long enough to envelope yourself on a cold afternoon (approximately 200cm). The warp and weft are blends of various New Zealand manufactured fibres, namely, mohair, alpaca, llama and wool.
The stunning plaid in this throw is a primary mix of colours from silver grey, warm natural browns, and brick with flashes of different accent colours. While each throw in this set uses the same fibre and colour range, the proportions may vary slightly as each one is woven individually and not to a formula, producing a “one of a kind” garment.
The llama and alpaca yarn blends featured in these single bed blanket sized throws live near Levin, New Zealand and they have names as they are beloved pets. These blankets also includes other NZ made mohair/wool blends. The blankets are a non-uniform plaid where the primary colours are orange, grey and brown with highlights of other primary colours.

Care instructions:
Please hand wash gently using luke-warm water and a gentle wool soap. You can spin the excess water out but putting washed and rinsed throw in you washing machine on a spin only cycle. You can hang or lay flat to dry. We recommend pressing with a warm iron on wool setting while still slightly damp.
